ABOUT PCAT
For more than 20 years, PCAT has been building strong readers, strengthening families, and changing futures through literacy education and family engagement.

OUR STORY
PCAT was founded in 2003 by Christene Worley in response to a critical need identified by social service agencies, community leaders, and parents in Hillsborough County.

We saw too many children who were struggling to read and falling behind in school. PCAT began as a grassroots effort to provide the support these children and their families needed to break the cycle and build a brighter future.

Today, PCAT remains committed to that same purpose, empowering children through literacy and engaging families as partners in education.
